What is SDC?

Sahara Digital Cinema (SDC) is a brand new festival based platform dedicated to bringing Independent Filmmaking to a Global Audience.

We promote and distribute your Feature Films, Short Films, Music Videos and Trailers throughout our networks in order to maximise exposure and build an engaged audience.

We are in our 1st year and are looking to grow our platform dynamically with ‘High Quality’ content at the heart of our ethos.

PLEASE READ OUR SUBMISSION CRITERIA BELOW

We CANNOT refund submission fees.

Submit ONLY when ready to showcase your FILM, TRAILER or MUSIC VIDEO within 60 DAYS.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • YOU MUST OWN THE FULL RIGHTS TO THE TITLE CONTENT SUBMISSION.
  • YOU MUST HAVE LICENSING RIGHTS FOR ALL MUSIC USAGE. Licenses must have online usage rights — including YouTube — for all territories.
  • You MUST obtain formal licenses (or be able to reach out to contacts to clear all claims). 

  • We will add a SAHARA DIGITAL CINEMA Title Card to the beginning or end of ALL Films and an ‘SDC’ WATERMARK.
  • We may run ADS before and/or after Films (but not during/within the Film).
  • Non-English Language Title Content and/or English dialogue with heavy accents must have subtitles BURNED IN. 


WHAT WE LOOK FOR:

SDC is committed to quality content, great storytelling and visual impact. We are filmmakers and we love great films.

We are understanding of budget constraints in the independent space and exist to specifically champion skills and craft in the face of these restrictions. So put your best work forward!

Please Note: We CANNOT showcase films that violate policies for nudity and sexual content, violent or graphic content, suicide/self-harm, etc. If the film is flagged or age-restricted, we may request it be recut to pass our guidelines — otherwise, we may choose not accept it on these grounds.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM SDC:

  • If your FILM, TRAILER or MUSIC VIDEO is accepted, we will package and showcase it on our social platforms and channels, assess them and make any necessary adjustments along the way.
    • All Titles will run for a minimum of 90 DAYS.
  • After 90 DAYS, if the Title has performed well on our channels, we may give it a SECOND RUN on one of our Genre-Specific channels. 

  • At the end the Title’s run – after 90 DAYS, let us know and we will take it down — no questions asked.

Similarly, we do NOT guarantee indefinite placement on SAHARA DIGITAL CINEMA — and may move/remove it for any reason.

  • All accepted Films, Trailers and Music Videos will feature Key Cast and Crew credits on our platforms, alongside a Synopsis.

SAHARA DIGITAL CINEMA (SDC) will also create an IMDb Page for your Feature/Short Film Title (where required) and will be credited as an Online Distributor to your Title.

BONUS:

DIGITAL CINEMA BOOST OPTION AVAILABLE for FEATURES and SHORTS
Monetisation of Features and Shorts via submission to TVOD/AVOD platforms is available with this option.

We offer to submit your Film Title to platforms such as: Amazon Prime, Tubi, Hoopla and more… in order to maximise exposure and build an engaged audience.

Opt in on your Title Submission form and Receive royalties off the back of Sahara Digital Cinema’s full distribution reach.

*At this time, we are unable to offer this service to Music Videos and Trailers.

*We work on a simple 80/20 revenue share and Royalties are paid out Quarterly via PayPal.

We believe in partnerships with equal incentives, which is why we charge no deductions or upfront fees when we distribute your Film Title. You have spent a lot of money and time producing your film, we shouldn’t be charging you for distribution services until we see mutual success.

*For this option – a PayPal Address is required on submission to forward royalties.
